Baby shower
The gift only fits later & that is why it stays.
At a baby shower the things pile up for the first six weeks. Nappies, bibs, a mobile. This one is for afterwards, when the visits stop and ordinary life starts.
- Set €59
- Kid sizes 92 to 152
- Gender does not come into it
All of it is for the mother.
As it should be. Except there is a man standing next to it who will be a father in two months and whom nobody has told what that means. He collects the wrapping paper and pretends he knows what a nursing pillow does.
Him first.
Two shirts, same motif, one in his size and one in 92. He holds the small one up, and everyone in the room sees the same thing: someone is coming who belongs to him.

For example
Triceratops
Three horns, no hurry, a castle that holds until the tide. Fitting, for a present that is due in a few months.
€59.00for 2 shirts: one for dad, one for the kid

Build the setWhy it stands out at a shower
It is the only gift for him.
Twenty parcels for mum and baby, one for the dad. Guess which one still gets mentioned in the evening.
It outlives the nappy phase.
Size 92 comes into use around the first birthday. Most of what gets given for the first weeks has been through the wash by then.
It shows well.
Every present at a shower gets held up. Two shirts side by side, big and small, is the picture people remember.
What size for a child who is not here yet
The number is height in centimetres, not age. 92 is our smallest number and fits from roughly the first birthday. For a baby arriving in a few weeks that lands on their first summer together. If it should survive the second one too, take 104.
| Size | Age |
|---|---|
| 92 | 1–2 y |
| 104 | 3–4 y |
| 116 | 5–6 y |
The number is height in centimetres, not age.
- Due in winter?
- Then 104 instead of 92. A t-shirt makes more sense in July than in February, and a summer will have passed by then.
- Gender unknown?
- Does not matter. White shirts, one motif, no colour codes and no frills.
What people ask
What size do you give at a baby shower?
92, our smallest number, from roughly the first birthday. 104 if it should still fit the summer after that.
Bigger never hurts. Smaller is not something we make.
Is that not too early?
No, that is the point. A baby shower is precisely where you give something that will be needed later.
What if the baby turns out bigger than expected?
Then we swap the kid size. Write to us and the other number goes out. With children's sizes, guessing wrong is the normal case.
And what about the mother?
There is plenty on the table for her that day. This gift is deliberately the one that goes to him.
